On my home desktop setup, I have had a standard stereo set of speakers for day to day use, using higher quality Creative headphones for important audio issues.

However, they are UGLY and take up too much space for the audio they put out and it wasn’t even that great to begin with. So when I saw the Creative Pebble V2 available, I knew I had to try them, just look at them! Look fancy and have good sound? Let’s see.

Creative Pebble V2 Setup

These minimalist little spherical flat bottomed speakers really do look great, nice matte black body, gunmetal grey cove and gold + black driver.

They do not take up much room at all, sitting nicely either side of my double monitor stand from Varidesk, large improvement over my previous setup.

The layout is extremely simple, the right hand satellite has a power and volume knob with a little blue LED to signify it is on, as well as a high gain switch underneath.

Creative Pebble V2 Gain

The gain switch allows you to double the power of the speakers with up to 16W peak power, which is MORE than adequate for this type of setup.
You won’t be blasting anyones eardrums out but you will certainly fill a medium size room with clear audio.

One area I was scared they would lack is bass, as this setup has no subwoofer (although there is a PLUS version that does have a dedicated sub), however you get a rather full sound with these, not tinny at all.

You won’t be getting palpitations from this thing blasting some hardcore drum & bass but when listening to music and watching YouTube videos, you are certainly not going to be disappointed.

The fact you can connect it via USB-C or USB-A is great and leaves you open to pretty much any connectivity your heart desires.

So with great sound, good connectivity and a stylistic flair that would look the part on any setup, you’d be silly not to consider the Creative Pebble V2 at only £22.99.
