Shockingly good sound without wires!

Are you a gamer, music lover, movie buff or someone who needs a good set of headphones but could do without the wired mess that ensues?
Well the LS31 are a VERY strong candidate for you to look at.
Before I get this review underway, I would like to ask you to check out the LucidSound LS25 review we did previously, as they are quite similar in most regards.

LucidSound always puts build quality as a top priority and you can absolutely tell from the moment you unbox it.
The sleek metal frame with memory foam padding ear cups and band, feel luxurious on your head and reeks of style.
Similar controls to the LS25, you have volume built-in to the exterior left hand cup on a twist cap, mute button on the left cup, mic sensitivity on the right twist cap and mic mute button on the right cup.
You also have a similar plug in boom mic for your dual-mic setup that plugs in to the 3.5mm on the left side.
It also has a VERY impressive battery life of up to 15 hours, although I personally plug them in every night, I haven’t broken 8 hours continuously but they are still going strong.

The LS31 also has 3 switchable EQ modes, one is standard, one is bass boost and one is treble boost. Personally I kept it on the standard one for 99.99% of the time as I felt it was extremely well balanced.
You have surround sound with Windows Sonic and on Xbox, which works EXTREMELY well, especially when gaming, you really get a sense of space and awe of your surroundings.
Hearing shots whizz by or the spatial awareness created in these atmospheric soundscapes is really engrossing.
Cannot complain about the sound quality at all, it’s really up there with some of the best I’ve heard in this price range.
Not to mention the wireless connection has only dropped out ONCE since using these and that was my fault as I strayed a little too far from the available range.
The USB Base station has a neat little LED to let you know it’s powered and connected and offers an impressive wireless range of up to 30ft.

So what else can I say?
Sleek design, modular, comfortable, impressive sound quality, rock solid wireless connectivity, super long lasting battery, build quality is absolutely sound (*pun intended*) and for the price you can’t really go wrong with this headset.
