Exceptional audio quality for Competitive Gaming

As a gamer at heart, audio quality to me is just as important as graphical fidelity, you can’t have one without the other.
This is where a lot of headsets let you down, as they are tuned more for music you find a lot of them can sound either very tinny or have booming bass that sounds utterly unrealistic in games.
Not to mention the built-in mics that most budget — mid-range headsets have are just a shambles.
So does the LucidSound LS25 eSports Headset offer value for money?

A little about the headset and it’s functionality, it has a nice sturdy metal construction with soft memory foam ear cushions that fit snug but comfortably on your ears.
There is a built-in mic to the headset, as well as a detachable boom arm mic that offers improved clarity and sound, especially good for those tournament conditions pro-gamers find themselves in.

There is quite a nifty feature available for controlling audio levels as well as muting the microphone.
A simple tap of the ear cuff to the right mutes and un-mutes the microphones, which is very handy for those situations when you wanna have a quite rage!
The feature that I personally liked the most is the volume control, it is built into the left earcuff as a simple rotary dial, turn it forward to turn it up, roll it back to turn it down, super fast and easy access.
Speaking of volume, one thing I did notice about these headphones is that the top volume leaves a little to be desired when plugged into a phone, but was fine for me on console and PC, just a little note.

The sound quality of the LS25 itself, leaves only compliments in my mind.
The highs are crisp, clean and distinguish themselves from the mids extremely nicely.
As for bass, there is plenty of it! And not just muddy booming bass, but realistic amounts of tonality within that low end that makes explosions and gunshots have a real oomph.
There is also fantastic positional sound, that lets you hear footsteps and sounds in their relative space, keeping you sharp on your feet for those sneaking up on you!
Microphones are pretty good, don’t expect Blue Yeti quality but compared to other headsets in this range, it is comparable and it’s nice to have the option of just using the built-in mic or the boom arm.

Overall, I can highly recommend these for those of you looking for a great headset in this price range.
The sound quality is gorgeous, the mics are more than adequate and it’s comfortable for long sessions.
