AnySharp + Ion8 Gear Roundup

Sweet little gadgets!

Ion8 1L Water Bottle

So over the last few weeks we were sent a couple interesting gadgets for use over this boiling hot UK summer. These particular ones are from AnySharp and Ion8 and I’ll give you a little run down on them below.

So first off let’s cover the Anysharp Pocket Knife Sharpener.

AnySharp Pocket Knife Sharperner

We have previously reviewed the AnySharp Pro Metal Knife Sharpener, while that is a great product, as it is meant to sit on your worktop, it’s not something you can use as easily outdoors.
This is essentially that product, but in a portable, keychain friendly body.
You can quite happily carry it around on those outdoor adventures, keeping your tactical or pocket knives sharp for your camping trips or BBQs.

AnySharp Pocket Knife Sharperner — At Work

You still have the finely diamond honed tungsten carbide sharpening blades, that make easy work of steel, hardened steel and even serrated blades.

Tried this on a variety of kitchen knives, work knives and even a hardened steel blade, all requiring minimal pressure and effort to get that sharp edge.

All AnySharp knife sharpeners come with a no-quibble product warranty, so it’s definitely something you should consider for those trips out.

AnySharp Multi 5-in-1 Scissors

Now these are what we call scissors! First off they just LOOK awesome, have a good weight to them, comfortable grips and are insanely durable.

The AnySharp Multi 5-in-1 Scissors are tempered steel professional grade blades and are so effective, you can cut through anything from paper to tough materials like blister packs, credit cards, carpet, tough boxes — even chicken bones.

They also have a nice curve to them which gives them that extra safety measure by keeping hands away from the blade surface.

AnySharp Multi 5-in-1 Scissors — Uses

As well as being a great pair of scissors, it also has a multi-function that allows you to crack nuts with the grips in the centre of the handle, strip wires with the utensil just above that, crush garlic using the rubberised inside grip, and even open bottles using the bottle opener on the exterior of the blades.

If you are looking to replace your measly bog standard cheap scissors with something FAR more useful and sturdy, these are top of my recommendation.

Ion8 Water Bottle

For those of you in the UK, you will completely sympathise with me when I say, it is SWELTERING hot and as we all know, hydration is key in this type of weather! I am usually terrible about remembering to drink regularly, so this Ion8 1L Water Bottle is an absolute godsend for me.

I’m quite finicky when it comes to water bottles, a lot of them can be slightly awkward with weird shapes, less than great drinking streams and tend to leak.

Ion8 Water Bottle — Design

That is something that Ion8 have definitely solved in my opinion.
It is a 100% Leak proof BPA free water bottle, that is comfortable to hold and has a rapid vented flow which is perfect for hydrating. Not like other variants that have a measly little stream that you have to practically suction out.

Not to mention the ingenious lid, which is my favourite on any bottle I’ve owned.
It has a flip lock that holds it shut tight, but you can easily flick it off and then press the lid button to instantly pop it open, super easy to do one handed.

If water or juice isn’t your thing, you can also use this for hot drinks, so you can have that coffee or tea on the go, as it is temperature rated between -10c and 96c.

We also have a 500ML version that I gave to the girlfriend and she is using it as her daily carry with no complaints.
So with that thumbs up, I think I can officially give it my seal of approval.
